So I have made personal checklist to check any web hosting company. This is not the must list but its my personal suggestion.

  1. Check hosting company domain age – Domain age means since when website exist on world wide web, sometimes you get quite enough information, go for more experienced web hosting companies, because they have better understading of technology and customer support. To check domain age we can use who.is, domaintools.com and look for Expiration Date, Creation Date and Last Update Date.
  2. Privacy Protect – Privacy protect means, when any domain owner hide whois information of their domains, dont go for those hosting company who have enabled privacy protect on their main domain.
  3. IP address – Ask for IP address where you will get web space from hosting company, you can ask this in pre sales inquiry. now after receiving IP address perform some test on it. like ping.

ping  domainname.com

Look for the pinging time, compare it with other domain you know, see results.
